5 Reasons You Should Not Do Yoga
- You’re not flexible enough for yoga. Of course you’re not. Neither are 90% of the people who come to a yoga class. You’ll fit right in.
- You’re too old. Darn right you are. Old enough to know better and want to learn all the benefits that yoga bestows upon mature people.
- You think yoga is not really exercise. You’re right! Yoga is so much more than counting reps or miles. It fills in the gaps with breathing techniques that encourage better mental focus and body awareness that can improve physical balance.
- You’re afraid you might get bored. You probably will, until that first time you experience a genuinely calm, clear mind and relaxed body.
- You don’t have time. OK, so don’t go to that 90 minute flow class. Try tree pose while you wash dishes or a standing forward fold when you tie your shoes. Put it in your life and it will always be there for you.
